1. HRP substrates include
diaminobenzidine (DAB), tetramethylbenzidine (TMB), p-PHENYLENEDIAMINE DIHYDROCHLORIDE/pyrocatechol,
3-AMINO-9-ETHYLCARBAZOLE (AEC), 4-CHLORO-1-NAPHTHOL (CN).

2. HRP is frequently coupled to antibodies for histochemistry and ELISA.

3. HRP/DAB is used in the ABC staining.

4. HRP/TMB is frequently used in ELISA.

5. HRP is frequently used to label neurons. Damaged neurons readily
uptake HRP, allowing neuronal structures being labeled by a HRP substrate.
