2. Gels and membranes may need to be fixed first (e.g., 7% acetic acid/10% methanol for 10 minutes).
3. Stain in the staining solution for 15 minutes.
4. Rinse 2-3 times with fixing solution or deionized water.
5. Visulize the bands under UV or blue/blue-green light.
