The 7.01 LINKS and WWW Tutorial

Hypertext is like normal text except that it is possible to jump from one place to another within the text, or to entirely different texts, simply by clicking on links.

The WWW is a hypertext information network organized over the Internet (the physical connections between places). To find out more about the WWW:

* Read SIPB's The World Wide Web for the Clueless.
* To get even more information, try out the following link: WWW: A Guide to Cyberspace
Warning:this document is heavily used, and fairly large, and it may take you some time to download it and read it.
* Netscape's Home Page
This is perhaps the broadest based entry point in the WWW, and an excellent place to start exploring the Web on your own.
